Choosing a name

I think this is one of the hardest things (haha sure, I say that now). Anyway, it is super hard. First of all, you’re going to give this person a name that they’re gonna have for the rest of their life. It’s gonna be a part of their identity. Now not only that, but we also have a lot of different languages to keep in mind. So this name needs to work in English, Swedish, French and Spanish. Sure, piece of cake, right? One would think that an english name would be fine, but no, not really with Swedish and French, or Spanish for that matter.

We have had a lot of different suggestions and we are pretty sure that we will not know for sure until we actually see her. So we are not making a 100% decision until she’s here, so we’re gonna keep a few suggestions until then. It’s also hard because we have had some names feeling amazing and then one day you say it out load and realize that it’s completely wrong.

I really want a strong name, and I don’t even know which names are strong. So far these are our top suggestions.

  1. Avery
  2. Zoey
  3. Alyssa

And they might also be completely wrong. It really is so hard to choose, and at the end of the day you’re choosing for another person, this person will grow up and have an identity and be someone who’s gonna carry this name around for the rest of their life.

Did you know/decide the name before?
How did you decide the name?
